Heavy rains are expected in Mexico City

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) forecasts rain for this Friday, November 1, in several regions of Mexico, mainly in Querétaro, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Tlaxcala, and Morelos. In the Valley of Mexico, a partly cloudy sky and cold to cool weather is expected in the morning, with temperatures between 0 and 5 °C in the high areas.

According to the SMN report, the presence of a low-pressure channel is expected, which, in combination with moist air from the Pacific Ocean, will cause heavy rains in Puebla and showers in various entities of the region. Northeasterly winds are announced with speeds of 10 to 20 km/h and gusts that could reach up to 40 km/h.

Given these climatic conditions, the population is advised to take precautions, avoiding outdoor activities during the rain and staying informed through meteorological reports to be aware of changes in the weather.

Throughout the day, an increase in temperature is expected, moving from a temperate atmosphere to warm in the afternoon with a sky that will go from partly cloudy to cloudy. Rain and showers are expected in Mexico City and State of Mexico with accumulations of 5 to 25 mm over a period of 24 hours, accompanied by possible electrical discharges.

Regarding temperatures, it is estimated that the maximum will range between 24 and 26 °C, while the minimum will be between 12 and 14 °C.
